1. BVM (Sainik School Chaparda) is the new feather in the cap of Brahmchari Shri Bhagvatinandji Education Trust (BET). It is a new initiative in the field of Education and Training with a Military touch. In addition to its regular affiliated board curriculum, it will also impart education of Academic PLUS curriculum to the students on Sainik school pattern.

 

2. Ministry of Defence (MoD) under Government of India has First Time approved setting up of 21 new Sainik Schools, in partnership with NGOs/private schools/State Governments. Out of these 9 have started functioning from the academic session 2022-23 as Brown field schools. These schools are being be set up in the initial round of the Government’s initiative of setting up of 100 new Sainik schools across the country in partnership mode. These will be distinct from the existing Sainik Schools.

The objectives behind Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of setting up of 100 new Sainik Schools is to provide quality education to the students in tune with National Education Policy and give them better career opportunities, including joining the Armed Forces. It also gives an opportunity to the private sector to work hand-in-hand with the Government towards nation building by refining today’s youth to become responsible citizens of tomorrow.

3. It is a dream come true for Pujya Muktanand ji (Fondly called Bapu) whose one of the Sutras is  “ To Guide The Reading Young Minds Towards the Right Direction”. He  is the Managing Trustee of BET, established in 1989 to eradicate the illiteracy in the rural area and to affect Social change in local population by educating the young minds. Over a span of more than three decades BET has established various educational centres at different locations in Gujrat educating more than 15000 children.

 

4. BVM Sainik School Chaparda will be raised in a 22 acres lush green spiritual environment located in a remote place away from the hustle and bustle of big towns to provide quality education and training to the students in a peaceful surroundings which is essential for their holistic development.

 

5. The School has started functioning in a make shift building with affiliation from GSEB and the admission process for class VI started wef 01 Jul 2022 as per the guidelines of Sainik School Society (SSS). All the admissions are being undertaken directly from the SSS portal only. No horizontal admission is permissible. A total of 150 seats approved by SSS are being filled as and when these are released by the Society.

6. As on 05 Aug 22, a total of 139 students (124 Boys and 14 Girls) have been admitted after careful scrutiny of all the documents including Medicals.  Students from 11 states and one UT viz. Gujrat, Manipur, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand and New Delhi have chosen the BVM Sainik School.

 

7. Though the students started reporting to the school since 01 Jul 22 in batches but their official session has started including official classroom studies since 01 Aug 22 as per the directions of Sainik School Society. During the interim period the students were made to settle down in the new environment, learning to live in harmony and mixing up with each other as the students were arriving from various parts of the country with different cultures. They were introduced and initiated in a phased manner with the basic training requirements in the Sainik School especially physical fitness. The syllabus for their previous class was repeated and extra classes for English learning were conducted with a view to teach them some basics of the language because majority of the students have passed their AISSEE in their regional language like Gujrati, Marathi and Bengali.  

 

8. The school is in constant touch with its mentor school Sainik School Balachadi. All the activities and events assigned by the Sainik School Society are being performed in the school with full vigour.
